I drilled two 3/8 inch in mine. I thought it sounded pretty good but there was about a 50/50 split in other's opinions. BUT, the backfiring increased and was LOUD (scared the crap out of me the first time). I ended up plugging the holes and going back to stock sound until I find something else (the Hartman method looks too challenging for me to accomplish, being of limited skills in that area)
